Japanese economic data mixed, German trade and UK industrial production fall

Japan released mixed economic data on Tuesday.

The Cabinet Office's economy watchers survey showed that the current conditions index rose to 47.7 in June from 45.1 in May but the outlook index fell to 53.3 from 53.8.

Japan's current account declined in May from a year ago but remained in surplus for the fourth consecutive month after imports fell for the first time in 19 months.

European economic data on Tuesday were negative.

Germany's trade surplus widened in May but both exports and imports fell by 1.1 percent and 3.4 percent respectively.

In the UK, industrial production fell 0.7 percent in May, with manufacturing production falling 1.3 percent.
